How human is your brand?

Social media is about being social, right?

Every one of your followers is a person. An actual human, not just a statistic. Each one of them has a unique voice, set of values and beliefs that are important to them.

The problem…

So many brands are yet to define their own voice, values and beliefs or represent them clearly beyond what they sell. Which results in a faceless, robotic, un-emotional brand that struggles with the ability to connect with its audience.

For consumers, anything that fails to inspire, educate, entertain or that isn’t relatable will be disregarded as a nuisance. (We all see a lot of content online each day)

Brands and business must acknowledge that:

• Finding your unique voice is important.

• Sharing your values and beliefs is important.

• Showing your authenticity is important.

• Standing for something is important.

• Sharing why you care for your community is important.

and guess what? It’s human.

The foundations to being a more human brand is defining your purpose. Your purpose is what will colour everything you say, how you say it, how you behave and how you present yourself online.

Brands with purpose ultimately know why & how they speak and as a result become a more human brand.

Summary:

• Define your purpose

• Find your voice

• Create your messaging

• Become a more human brand

• Attract your tribe
